Written and edited by Nicolas de Oliveira and Nicola Oxley, the book explores the literary and painterly ideas and devices that underpin the work of artist Karen David; it also features an extended essay by her, along with drawings and images related to the exhibition at SE8 Gallery. The texts chronicle the artist’s presence in the space, her project, and much else besides – journeys, quests, fictions, remarks on literature and art theory, and other asides.
