A Wasp killed by Magic

Simson Davison & Charlie Woolley
February – March 2006

Davison and Woolley present an exhibition of artworks that function as proposals, to draw attention to hypothetical events such as the visiting of Londons broken public clocks at precisely the time they indicate within a 12 hour period or sending a parcel containing a thrown ball continuously between the UK and the USA.

Spy’s and Subjects

Ben Cain & Tina Gverovic
May – June 2006

The exhibition is comprised of four parts: a vinyl record featuring spoken voice and piano music, a simple digital animation, a black and white video and a folding pamphlet. The moving image, the sound and the text, present a symbiotic puzzle that suggests a parallel setting, a scene, a place, and a central character.

Miko No Inori

Mariko Mori
December 2006

The videowork shows the artist as a silver-suited, enigmatic being cradling a crystal sphere. Filmed at the high-tech Kansai airport in Tokyo, the footage is accompanied by the artist’s ambient soundtrack entitled ‘Melting language’.

Untitled

Marenka Gabler
March – April 2008

Gabeler’s work investigates the construction and fallacy of individual identities through depiction in a range of paintings, drawings and photographs.

Look on my Works

Joe Watling
May – June 2008

The topic of the exhibition concerns the demise of Modernity, represented through a series of works that examine the relationship between form and materiality, including a ruined sculpture cast from pristine, white concrete.
